Adding Some Padding to Her Wardrobe: Gauchere's Fall 2024 Ready-to-Wear

Marie-Christine Statz, creative director, sent out a collection of rigid silhouettes  

accentuated with sporty and sheer details, drawing inspiration from neo-Brutalist  

According to Statz, the season focused more on addressing   

complex lives than on providing a style prescription.

She took inspiration from the thought that nobody likes to be buttoned up  

all the time and tried to make clothes that were more comfortable by using  

luscious materials like mohair for coats and dresses and cushioned silks for wrap skirts.
