Delicious Irish dishes that the United States is sadly lacking in 

Hearty stews and soothing potato dishes are examples of traditional Irish cuisine that are not as common in the United States. 

Inflation and higher living costs caused a small decline in the value of Irish exports from 2022 to 2023, 

but the board just announced that this figure remained unchanged at around €16.3 billion, or $17.5 billion, in 2023. 

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, Business Insider scoured Irish recipes for the most unique and delicious dishes that everyone should sample once.

The term "coddling," meaning to simmer, is used to describe the process of preparing the ingredients for the traditional Irish stew known as Dublin coddle. 

Potatoes, onions, sausage, and bacon are typical ingredients in this recipe. 

In order to serve colcannon, it is customary to make a well in the middle of the mashed potatoes and then fill it with butter.
