Reasons Why Milk Is Not the Best Thing to Dip French Toast In 

I'm hoping it's drenched in maple syrup because it's creamy, crispy, and fluffy. Stunningly beautiful. 

Old white sliced pan can be substituted for hardening sourdough, stiff panettone, and rubbery brioche,  

which is only one of the several reasons to appreciate the sumptuous breakfast.  

If you're curious, I once made French toast out of leftover fruit cake. It wasn't terrible.

The logic behind this wonderful dish is that you can use whatever you happen to have on hand;  

all you have to do is cook some slices of carbs after dipping them in eggs, spices, and milk.  

On the other hand, starches undergo greater changes than liquids.
